After waiting for 2 months, finally it comes to today, my departure date to an unknown country. I'm going to fly across the globe to pursue my dream in New Zealand. After waving goodbye, I boarded my solo flight by feeling nervy but full of anticipation.
I got the work in a backpackers hostel (Oaklands Lodge) to exchange for free accommodation. I have to work for 2 & 1/2 hours for cleaning rooms for six day a week in order to get 7 days free stay. I had contacted the staff, Angie to confirm on my arrival the day before. It's to make sure that I have a place to stay on the night I arrived.
My flight was landed at Gold Coast airport, I spent few hours to walk around the Surfer's Paradise before transit for another flight to Auckland. It was a rainy day, I didn't enjoyed the walk in the rain. I took the flight at 5pm and it arrived at Auckland airport at 11pm due to the time difference.
I took the shuttle bus and I'm the only passenger on that time. I arrived at the Oaklands Lodge at 12am, I was so tired after a sleepless night on the plane. The room key was ready for me at the notice board. I shared a nice double room with a girl from Denmark. My day ended with tiredness.
