I'm A Kiwi Fruit Packer

Trevelyan's Pack & Cool Ltd. is one of the biggest kiwi fruit packhouse in Te Puke. There are 3 packhouses and 19 coolstores operating for the kiwi harvest season, hundreds of worker packing approximately 7 million trays of green, gold and organic kiwifruit for the season. Trevelyan’s Packhouse is located 3kms from Te Puke town.

Our campsite is very near to the packhouse, about 5 mins walking distance. This is the best things among all the disadvantage as the nearest BBH is few km away. Every morning, we walk to the packhouse around 7.20am, the work will start at 7.30am. Zenki & I always be the last to walk from campsite. We always have fun while we work together.

Zenki 是我们的开心果。 和她在一起常有很多笑料。她那半咸不淡的华语常让我们失笑。我和她常常是宿舍里早上最后去上班的，因为她很会赖床。我们常在工作时吱吱喳喳讲个不停，所以supervisor 常将我们分开在不同的产线。朋友也给我们取了个花名叫吱喳姐妹。我们常想很多游戏，像超级无敌奖门人、成语接力赛、猜谜。。。没办法，不谈天的话真得很无聊，会闷死。

每天都会有两次Smoko (喝茶时间)， 也是我们最开心的时刻。每次我们都会猜今天smoko 有什么吃（公司提供的），大家都会很期待有muffin 吃。

终于等到5点放工了，很多人就会打包一些2nd grade的kiwi 回去。我们常会在包装是留着一些又大颗又好的带回去。

回到宿舍后，大家都会聚在厨房里做晚餐，也顺便准备明天的午餐。然后谈谈天，吹吹水，一天就过了。
这里的生活，没什么特别，可是因为有朋友的陪伴，所以过得很开心。没有繁忙都市的压力、勾心斗角和冷漠。这里的人都很友善，没有机心，日子过得很轻松写意，大部分时间都过得很开心。顶多是雨天时烦恼没工作没收入。人开心，感觉上也年轻了几年。
